Imperial Towers Panorama

Taking an old dog and teaching it new tricks. I did a painting of The Imperial Towers a few years back that I never was entirely satisfied with. This building is a Vancouver mid-century lozenge shape. It is probably the least impressive architecturally but due to it’s location at the waters edge and it’s height it is a landmark. I wanted to capture the soaring feel and the delicate lines. The new painting has a different feel from the one underneath. I think the evolution of my vision is interesting to see as a panorama image. I like the semi-hidden aspect of the colours.
